Gracie Barra Cibolo is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu academy at 2251 FM 1103 Ste 106 in Cibolo Valley Square, teaching kids ages 3 through 13, teens, and adults under black belt Professor Edgar. Morning homeschool classes meet Monday and Wednesday at 10 AM, after-school kids classes run weeknight evenings, and adult classes meet Mon/Wed/Fri at 6:30 PM. Your first class is free — no contract, no sales pitch.
Professor Edgar holds a 1st-degree black belt under Master Roberto 'Tussa' Alencar — 15 years on the mats, Gracie Barra certified. He founded the school in 2024 to bring the world's most trusted BJJ curriculum to one of Guadalupe County's fastest-growing communities. Every adult class is led by a black belt, not a colored belt covering a shift.
Cibolo's homeschool families drove the morning schedule. Monday and Wednesday 10 AM combined classes cover Tiny Champions (3-4) through Juniors (10-13) — siblings train together, and the structured Gracie Barra curriculum counts toward homeschool physical education. It's the only BJJ school on the Schertz-Cibolo corridor with dedicated morning slots.
For kids after school, the weeknight schedule runs 4:45-6:30 PM with age-specific groups — Tiny Champions, Little Champions I and II, and Juniors. Adults and teens train Mon/Wed/Fri at 6:30 PM and Saturday at 10 AM. Five minutes from Bentwood Ranch, Deer Creek, and Steele Canyon; a short drive from Schertz, Selma, Universal City, and JBSA-Randolph. Free parking in the Cibolo Valley Square plaza, shared with H-E-B.
